Ellie the Elephant is an Animal Buddy introduced in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. Ellie has a fear of mice, being a stereotypical elephant. She has made a few appearances in the Donkey Kong series since her debut.

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!/Land III
Ellie first appeared in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, on the very first level of the game, Lakeside Limbo. Later, she helps the Kongs by defeating Squirt and getting through levels like Stampede Sprint. She has the abilities to spray a limited water supply in some levels and is able to collect barrels with its trunk and has a fear of mice.
In the Game Boy Advance version of Donkey Kong Country 3, Ellie has her sound effects borrowed from Rambi's in Donkey Kong Country, opposing the fact that she had her own in the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
In Donkey Kong Land III, she is different than in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. She isn't afraid of mice and can't drag barrels in her trunk. She also has an unlimited water supply unlike the semi-sequel where she has a limited water supply and she can spray water in all of the levels she appears in even if the area lacks water.
Donkey Kong Racing
Ellie was set to appear in the now-canceled game Donkey Kong Racing. Ellie was seen briefly in a trailer with Kiddy Kong riding her.
Donkey Konga
Ellie makes a cameo appearance in Donkey Konga, found on the bottom of the screen listening to whatever song is playing.
