Cat-O-9-Tails (ネコのナインテール Neko no Nain Teru in Japan) is an uncommon enemy in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.

Summary[]

If a Cat-O-Nine-Tails gets ahold of either Diddy or Dixie Kong, it will spin into them and whip into the air them with its tails. The Kongs must avoid this attack and wait for a Cat-O-9-Tails to collapse from dizziness, for it will then become vulnerable to being jumped on or rolled on. If the Kongs jump into a Cat-O-9-Tails from above while it is spinning they will end up being flung into the air. Also, while a Cat-O-9-Tails is spinning, rolls are completely useless against it. Barrels, on the other hand, will take out the Cat-O-9-Tails whether it is spinning or not.
