Gangplank Galleon is the third stage of the Gangplank Galleon world, as well as the third stage overall in the games Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. In both games, it is preceded by Mainbrace Mayhem and followed by Lockjaw's Locker.

Overview[]

Donkey Kong Country 2[]

Like Pirate Panic, this area takes place on a ship deck area. This area also has hooks the two monkeys can use to climb across areas. This stage also takes place during sunset. Strangely, the water in this stage appears to be a greenish color. Twelve Kaboings, five Klomps, six Neeks and ten Krunchas appear in this stage. There is also a lone red Zinger which only appears in a Bonus Room.

Donkey Kong Land 2[]

Like in the semi-sequel, this area takes place on a ship deck area. This area, due to color limitations to the Game Boy hardware, lacks green water and no longer takes place during sunset. Unlike Donkey Kong Country 2, Rambi the Rhinoceros also joins Diddy and Dixie Kong just before the Star Barrel in this stage to help the two of them out. There is nineteen Neeks, three Klomps, four Krunchas and two Kaboings in this stage.
