Rattle Battle is the fourth stage of the world Krem Quay of the Crocodile Isle and the sixteenth stage overall in the game Donkey Kong Country 2, as well as the ninth stage of the world Krem Cauldron and the fifteenth stage overall in the game Donkey Kong Land 2. In both games, it is preceded by Krockhead Klamber and followed by Slime Climb.

Overview[]

After coming aboard a crashed ship, Diddy and Dixie Kong will stumble into the captain's quarters, which has an Animal Barrel, causing them to transform into Rattly the Rattlesnake. The rest of the stage sees the serpent evading Kaboings.

Collectables and Secrets[]

Donkey Kong Country 2[]

DK Coin[]

The DK Coin will be hidden under a grate on a ship deck near a Zinger and some large barrels serving as platforms.

Golden Feather[]

By contrast to the obscure DK Coin, the Golden Feather in the Game Boy Advance version of Donkey Kong Country 2 is out in the open, only being protected by a single Kaboing.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first stage of the game Donkey Kong Country 2 and the Donkey Kong series to feature an Animal Barrel.
  • In the version of the stage present in the game Donkey Kong Land 2, it is actually possible to complete it without ever transforming into Rattly.
  • Oddly, despite the music theme Snakey Chantey being in the files for the game Donkey Kong Land 2, the song is not played in that version of the stage Rattle Battle.
