Rickety Race is the fourth stage of the world Krazy Kremland of the Crocodile Isle, as well as the twenty-third stage overall in the game Donkey Kong Country 2 and the twenty-first stage overall in the game Donkey Kong Land 2. It is preceded by Bramble Scramble and followed by Mudhole Marsh in Donkey Kong Country 2, while it is preceded by Bramble Blast and followed by Bramble Scramble in Donkey Kong Land 2.
Overview[]
This stage is the second roller coaster stage in both games where Diddy and Dixie Kong will ride on a Skull Cart during a race against nine Klanks in Donkey Kong Country 2 or five Klanks in Donkey Kong Land 2. The Kongs start at the last placement and earn better ones by defeating or jumping over Klanks. Winning the race is not required in order to clear the stage. However, defeating the Klank in the first placement in Donkey Kong Country 2 or winning the race in Donkey Kong Land 2 will reward the primates with a DK Coin.
In Donkey Kong Country 2, by reversing the Skull Cart at the start of the stage, a hidden Plus Barrel can be found which will give the player a speed boost during the entire race.

Trivia[]
- This is the only regular stage in the game Donkey Kong Land 2 and the Super Family Computer/Super Nintendo Entertainment System version of the game Donkey Kong Country 2 that does not have a Star Barrel, presumably because it would defeat the race's purpose. Though a Star Barrel was added to it in the Game Boy Advance version of Donkey Kong Country 2.
