Swoopies are enemies in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. They are woodpecker-like enemies that can be defeated by Squawks' eggs or by jumping on them.
Swoopy are found prominently in the level Swoopy Salvo, and can also be found in Barrel Shield Bust-Up. They attack by swinging at the player, trying to peck them. When they get stuck in a tree, they can be used as stepping stones.
Swoopies function very similarly, to the point of being considered the aerial equivalent, to Bazzas and Lemguins. They possess a similar attack pattern of flying in lines from one hole in their tree to another. However, they are also considered the most helpful when they get stuck in the wood, and used as platforms.
- Swoopies do not return in Donkey Kong Land III, unlike most enemies from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!.
- Swoopy had a little appearance in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze in stage 2-Boss Mountaintop Tussle
- They cannot actually harm the player, as they are merely used as a way to advance to hard-to-reach locations.
