Vine Barrels are a type of Wooden Barrel which feature in Donkey Kong Country, gaining their name from the small vines wrapped around it. These barrels can be thrown and carried around as such, but the main distinction compared to other barrels is the fact that they break upon contact with anything, including the ground, where wooden barrels roll along the floor.
Vine Barrels are not as common as the wooden barrels, though they are exclusively featured in the battle against Queen B., and are a vital weapon in the stage Platform Perils. As with wooden barrels, they are often placed near bonus stage entrances where the vine barrel would open the entrance.
